If you are new to MidJourney, don’t worry, we’ll guide you through the first steps!
- Head over to https://www.midjourney.com/home?callbackUrl=%2Fexplore
- You will need to have the Discord Server on your computer. If you do not already, the instructions will take you through downloading.
- After clicking on the above link, click on the upper right corner button that says “Join the Beta”
- You will be invited to join and then be taken through the process to download the Discord Server and be able to use MidJourney.
- Once you are in the Discord server, use the following prompt to begin your Avatar Creation!
- “/imagine [insert chatbot name], a [quick description of chatbot, for example, female 35 year old boating enthusiast], full length shot, with clear facial features, big eyes, depth of field, natural light, Pixar style 3d characters, cartoon style, c4d, octane rendering, ultra high definition, 8k, --ar 16:9” hit enter to run the prompt
- You should receive 4 pictures to choose from (this could take a moment or two). If you don’t like any of them, click the refresh logo to get 4 new made. You can click on each of the 4 photos to enlarge and get a better look.
- Once you have found the avatar you want to work with, you will need to “upscale” it. With the pictures being numbered 1-4 beginning top left to right and bottom left to right, click on the “U” button and corresponding photo number. When this returns, right click on the photo and save to your avatar to the computer.
- You’ve successfully used MidJourney on the Discord Server!
